Meet Dr. Joseph Wilbert Mwanga
Dr. Joseph Wilbert Mwanga is an accomplished Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with over 15 years of clinical experience and specialised training in pelvic and acetabular surgeries. He holds a Master of Medicine in Orthopaedics and Traumatology from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS), a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (Uganda), and a prestigious AO Trauma Clinical Fellowship from Assiut University, Egypt.
Currently serving as a senior faculty member and surgeon at the Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI), Dr. Mwanga has also headed the Department of Orthopaedics, Trauma, and Neurosurgery at MUHAS. He has trained hundreds of medical students and orthopaedic residents across Tanzania and abroad, contributing significantly to surgical education and trauma management in sub-Saharan Africa.
